Aerial Yoga or “yoga in the air” is a variation of yoga that uses hammocks suspended low above the ground. The fabric provides support and allows for modifications of certain asanas. Aerial yoga sessions can vary in character, with some focused on peaceful meditation and others aimed at strengthening the body. As such, aerial yoga is a great addition to practicing on the mat, as well as an introduction to aerial acrobatics, or an exciting activity of its own. Its decompressive benefits are appreciated by office workers and bodybuilders alike.
