Classes And Workshops

Aerial acrobatics is a discipline that combines circus arts, dance, and gymnastics. Originally rooted in the circus world, it consistently gains popularity as an activity that strengthens and sculpts the body, as well as an inspiring way to spend your free time in a supportive atmosphere. At LUFT you can enjoy a great workout and progress on your path as a recreational aerialist, but you may also – who knows! – discover a passion that will change your life.

At LUFT anybody from 5 to 100 years old can find an aerial acrobatics class suitable for their needs.

We offer lessons using the following apparatuses:

Aerial Hoop

A metal ring in a size to suit the person practicing (in our studio we teach on hoops with a diameter of 75 to 105cm), suspended from one or more points

Aerial Silks

An extremely durable fabric that allows climbing, and performing a variety of wraps and tricks

Aerial Sling/Hammock

A long fabric loop suspended from a single point; its use is solely limited by the acrobat’s imagination

Class participation rules

1

Remember! Even though aerial acrobatics can be enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels, if you have any concerns about your health condition that could negatively affect your practice, please contact your doctor and/or inform your instructor about any relevant health problems or injuries.

2

Aerial classes may not be attended by persons under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Persons not adhering to this rule will not be allowed to take classes at LUFT studio in the future.

3

Punctuality is very important. Persons who are more than 15 minutes late for 90-minute classes and more than 10 minutes late for 60-minute classes may watch the classes, but may not participate.

4

For classes using fabric (hammocks, silks), close-fitting athletic attire without zippers or sharp parts is a must. For hygienic reasons and to avoid chafing and burns, we recommend tops that cover the armpits and long, non-slippery leggings.

5

Please remove any jewelry that could damage the apparatus or cause injury.

6

If you come to class in sandals or barefoot – use the shower available in the studio and wash your feet. Our hammocks and silks will stay clean longer!

7

Listen carefully to the instructor’s instructions. Distraction in the air is not safe.
